“If you don’t like where you are on the mat…change,” said my wise yoga teacher, Stevee (aka Mamalah), in class at the Hindu temple yesterday.  It was a simple instruction.  Little did I know how much those words would impact me long after class ended.

When I substituted the words on the mat for in life, the statement took on a whole new meaning.  A much deeper meaning.

If you don’t like where you are in life…change.

And that lesson came straight from the mat.  🙂

A simple yet strong message. I always believe that we are to be the change that we want to see as suggested by Gandhi. The truth though is that many of us never see need for that change until we are lying face to face with it. Thanks for the post.

The play in words allow a new perspective, doesn’t it?
