Itʼs true.  Young people with nothing to do during out-of-school hours miss out on opportunities for growth and development.  The odds are high that youth with nothing positive to do and nowhere to go will find things to do that negatively influence their futures.  Be Unlimited, LLC is here to help. Our partnership with Rutgers University’s     4-H Youth Development Program has created an incredible opportunity for us to serve the youth of Atlantic City, NJ.

Beginning Monday, June 3rd, the BE UNLIMITED AFTER SCHOOL Program will engage youth (ages 9-14) in stimulating and thought-provoking activities designed to introduce them to their highest potential — what they can be, do and accomplish with the right mindset.  Primarily using the Be 101 curriculum (with supplemental lessons from 4-H and other sources), the program will immerse youth in experiential learning activities that include: reading and writing assignments, artistic expression, role-play exercises, community outreach projects, and opportunities to experience activities outside of urban life.

The Rutgers University 4-H Youth Development Program is a perfect match for the Be Unlimited After School Program curriculum as it compliments both our mission and core values.  BE UNLIMITED AFTER SCHOOL will encourage young people to:

■ identify personal qualities in themselves that contribute to feelings of self-value;

■ express their feelings, ideas, and opinions in thoughtful, artistic ways;

■ make responsible choices and decisions for themselves;

■ work toward setting and achieving meaningful goals;

■ develop an increased commitment to education and learning;

■ use a range of strategies to resolve bullying and peer pressure situations;

■ demonstrate skills that enable them to socialize with peers in healthy ways;

■ and, develop leadership skills.

Participation in BE UNLIMITED AFTER SCHOOL will also teach young people that reaching their highest potential can make a difference in their communities, and impact the world around them, through a service learning component.

We are looking for positive, energetic and motivated individuals to become Mentors for the youth in this upcoming program.  If you are 18 years of age or older and want to make a lasting investment in the future by investing time in the life of young person today, we have a need for you.
