The Be List is a new feature to the Be Unlimited blog.  On The Be List, you will find recommendations on what to read, what to listen to, what to see on television or at the movies, what to wear, and more.  If it’s on The Be List, it should be on your list.

On The Be List today is the Instagram app.  Millions of people use it every day.  I’m one of them.  My cousin PJ introduced me to the Instagram app earlier this year.  Just like he does with the latest styles of Converse sneakers, I can count on PJ (who’s younger than me) to introduce me to something that’s about to become the next new thing…or, the next cool thing.  Instagram was no different.

The app is free, fun, and easy to use.  Did I mention that it was free?  Instagram lets you make and share photos on your iPhone. The app offers many artistic filtered effects to give your shots an entirely new look.  After you design your photo, you can share it in a photo stream for friends to see.  You can also follow your friends and see their works of art with the simple click of a button.  Instagram photos can also be shared to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Instagram has introduced me to some of the most creative people around the world. It’s also given me a new and exciting outlet for my own creativity.  I even took a recent MRI of my lower back injury (featured in the above) and turned it into an art project using Instagram. I did the same with a photo of a water drain during a storm (featured in the first image below) and a shot taken of the sky’s reflection on a building (featured in the second image below).

Give your photos new life.  Transform everyday moments into your own original works of art.  Tap into the creative side you never knew you had.  Start using Instagram today.
