Be Unlimited is taking a major stand against bullying. Our 3 On Bullying feature will appear on the last Friday of every month. Here, you’ll learn facts to keep you informed, skills to help you handle bullying situations, and much more.
ONE: Spreading rumors, leaving people out of activities on purpose, breaking up friendships, and isolating others are all forms of social bullying that can cause serious and lasting harm.
TWO: When someone witnesses bullying, they give the bully positive attention. A witness to bullying (also known as a bystander) often feels helpless and fearful that he or she will be the next target. Some times a witness will join in with the bully for these reasons.
THREE: Nearly two-hundred thousand students miss school every day in the U.S. out of fear of attack or intimidation by their bullies. Of those students, many eventually leave school and never return.
